would this be frowned upon by google?

say I make 10 blogs on blogger related to my niche, and every article i post on my main own hosted blog; i post on the 10 blogger blogs with a link going back to my main website for back links. would this be a bad idea and can i get penalized?

First of all,the backlinks are of little value `cause they come from the same ip. So unless you have different c class ip`s 10 backlinks won`t count much. 10 thousand yes. Anyway to answer your question, I don`t think 10 blogs will raise any suspicion. 100 maybe,1000 - for sure. Oh,and you have to post spun articles on your diff blogs or you`ll probably deal with duplicate content penalty. Good luck.

I do some internal chaining but it's done so carefully and using a couple of nifty scripts and tricks my company developed. They work very nicely. Not talking about cloaking either. But aliskorn is right in general. That's why multiple hosting accounts and friends are nice. =)
