Would this be a good business model?

As an avid software developer I?ve always loved creating software to automate tasks. Would creating a membership site with around 50 tools available be a good business model? If I charge members $49.99 a month for unlimited access to my tools would that be a good model? Of course I haven?t developed all 50 tools yet but it?s going to be a long journey that if successful would set me up to being my own boss.
I have a few questions I?d like to ask:

    1. What tools would you like to see?
    2. Is 50 tools too much or too little for a price of $49.99
    3. Where Should I promote it apart from BHW?

start wit 5 first, and sell them individually! And what tools do you make? because no one here is going to give you ideas on tools, so don't bother asking :)

If you are working alone on this project, start small - 1-2 tools for less than $10-$15 per month and see how it goes from there. Then scale it up, if it's working well.

This isn't a whole lot of information about your business model, but let's just say sell 10,000 of anything at $50 and that's a lot of money ;)

$50 is ALOT for 50 tools.
It'd be too much to manage.
I'd sell like 10-15 as users can probably master everyone.

Pick the best 10-15 tools. Or tbh, 10-15 is still alot.

5-8 tools work well for $50.
Most people want quality over quanity!

No way. Don't start by building a membership site with tons of overhead and unfinished works, and don't build 15-20 applications. That's ridiculous talk. Just build one bot for starters, and learn how to sell with that one. Believe me, making bots is going to be the least of your problems - particularly in the case of membership sites. OMG - have you ever even sold anything anywhere?

Have a realistic starting point in life at least. Aim for the stars, but at least grab an apple on the way up.

First of all, I wouldn't need all the 50 tools. Why would I pay $50? If you can customize it, then it will be useful. I appreciate your long term thinking of 50 tools, but as others have mentioned here, start with 1 or 2. Identify a tool that you use frequently and see if you can make it better. That should help.

Membership site is a great business idea! 50 tools is too much. You won't be able to maintain all of them if you're working alone (fixing bugs and updates). Also you will have to spend a lot of time answering support tickets.

I agree with the others - unless you're planning on expanding hard and fast, then don't make 50 tools.
    Bugs, new features etc.

I'd recommend learning marketing. Search the forums.
I like using google dorks for this rather than the forum search function.

Start with small like 8 to 10 tools
and 50 tools are obviously too much

For tools idea, do some market research
and there are lots of places like JVzoo to promote your products

You have to start with less tools.
You can start with 15 tools in the starting. Then, you can increase them. It depends on you which tool you'd like to build.

Have an ala carte option as well as a package option where the subscriber would have access to 10-15 tools like everyone else is recommending.

I myself would only grab what I need so I wouldn't want the bundle option.

Also, what tools do you have? I am interested!

Just focus on 1 tool and then spend your time marketing it...

Start with 3-4 tools, sell them individually and in combination pack. See the response and then decide

Instead of 50 tools make 1 tool - a very, very, very good tool.
