Would people buy Reddit Up votes?

Digg is out of question now , so reddit is an option , even earlier , it use to bring in quality traffic. so upvote should have its own importance. I don't see any good upvoting solutions yet in the market.

We have launched a Reddit Ups exchange at followlikeDOTnet. Only added it yesterday so will take some time to pickup but its a nice free way to get them instead of paying for them

reddit has turned into what digg used to be back in the day. If your not part of the little click of reddit guys who spend there every waking minute playing with reddit and each other, then the mob mentality comes out the second a so called outsiders post suddenly gets voted up. The reddit mob is a bunch of anal retentive nerds :)

I don't agree that you need to be part of an inner circle to have your stuff voted up. People make throwaway accounts and post with them all the time. Only if you're a regular on a smaller subreddit will you see the same people over and over again, and that stuff generally doesn't hit the front page. It's not at all like Digg used to be.

It can somewhat be gamed, but it's not worth it. The users are too savvy to do anything like fill out a CPA survey or click on ads. They will be offended by any hint of trying to profit from the traffic that they give you. I also think that the site has a huge negative bias. They love to rip you to pieces and then promptly forget about you. It's not worth the effort.

They have the mentality that everything needs to be free and making money is wrong, thats why its so hard to make money off reddit. Also imgur pays reddit alot of money to be the "exclusive" host.

people buy everything.. Reddit votes from active accounts would do good :)

It depends if you able to get your article on a front page. So basically if it does bring the results, because many articles still in the dark even with many upvotes.

You have any stats on how often people use this?

I would pay for it. Feel free to PM me if any of you decide to build one.

Yes. but you need to careful and crafty.. their spam filters are some of the best in the biz

If you spam reddit with your site, make sure every 3rd or 4th your post is related to your site..otherwise you are gone... made few mistakes before... long recovery.

I wouldn't spam reddit. It's just not worth it. There are so many other great ways to get quality backlinks. Frankly, I don't think reddit is that great. Not really worth the time.

Personally, I'd buy retailmenot up votes. I can't get that damn thing to vote up no matter what I do or what proxies I use.

I'd buy the same. I Already tried a lot of things but failed.

I like to use reddit for things like bouncing ideas off of, putting up beta copies of software.. stuff like that. Stuff where you want people to criticize it and point out holes in it, etc... I agree, they're against making money. I think most of the Reddit userbase is actually in the Portland, Oregon area... at least by how I visualize them riding their retro bicycles around. Surely you've been around a group of mediocre people who mob together and convince themselves that they're smart? That's reddit.

reddit is like a closed group . The investment in terms of time is not worth it . gave up this a few years ago when i had a social bookmarking service on DP. Don't know if things have changed.
