I found this thread on the warrior forum simply by googling about offline tactics. I can honestly say I never ever use the warrior forum and happened to find it in google :).

Here is the link

I found this very interesting and I have a suitable domain. What I dont get though is how can I 'manipulate' them and dumb this down? Im also going to need some questions to ask them..

Im sure this thread will help lots of others so if you do become inspired by this and want to use it and think of some things to ask post them here to help the community back.

Thanks.

I tried something like that and got one customer, they wanted to pay me $50/mo for a service that would cost me $50/mo. :)

Best of luck.

Mind if I asked how many you spoke to all up and how much you asked for?.

I spoke with over 20 businesses and found one interested and they wanted a Customer Satisfaction Survey that could then be posted on the Internet. I found a survey method that was developed over 25 years and would give them insight to there business that they could act on. Also the response would be instantly texted to the manager, then for security I mounted the ipad in a cutting board (my son's idea) so it would be hard for the clients to steal the ipad. The business owner said they would buy there own ipad (cool) and pay me $50/mo including making sure all the results were properly posted on the website.

Have to admit, I'm totally bummed.

Seems a little different.

Basically he says to do the following.

Phone businesses in the paper
Ask for a free interview about them and advertising for your site
Go and ask advertising questions and give them free web info
wait for them to ask you about it all pumped out if u can do it
profit

I see your point, but I went in with the same basic offer. After letting her know I wanted to showcase how I WAS helping her business, during a networking event, at her business.

Most of the others I would contact either by walking in or calling and mention that I would discuss with them how to claim Google Places and the reasoning for it.

I'm sure either method works, just not easy money, as some would make/let it seem.

If it were easy, we wouldn't call it "Work".

You have to add your own twist to shit, pick out the good parts and mix, rinse, repeat, I doubt he told anyone to follow his exact method, you have to use your head a little. And if you have a potential client that don't want to pay fucking move on, there's millions of businesses and new ones starting everyday, go out there and get that money man.
