Would it work to put traffic in the backlink?

Hello everyone, this may be a little crazy question, but I'm a seo newbie, so please understand.

Recently, while I was asking for advice from someone who showed great performance in seo, I heard that if I put traffic in tier1, tier2, social backlinks rather than traffic to money sites, the Google search ranking on money sites will rise. It sounds absurd, but this is a tip I heard from someone who has proven their skills. Is this helpful for seo?

having traffic is good for SEO, generally speaking. But whether or not that little trick of yours will work is debatable. Better test it for yourself, nothing beats personal experience
