Would an Article In a Foreign Language Would Help Ranking in English

Assuming I have an article written in a foreign language , and it's on a very high authority website but all my anchor text is in this language.
Would it affect the same keyword in English?
Has anyone tried it before?

Tried this, and the answer is no for the same keyword in english but yes for the juice.

I have never personally tried it but I do not believe that it would work.

No, it will only affect rankings in that specific language
Think how crazy ranking will become if your English anchors should rank for 50 other languages, and vice versa

On the other hand; if you use an English anchor (irrespective of the article language) then it will affect your English ranking

And if I get a link in english anchor from a foreign site? will it work? Anyone has ever tried and testd it?
