Would a VPS be a better idea than getting another internet connection?

I currently have a net connection but it's bad and is screwing up my SB blasts.

I was just suggested a VPS might be a solution.

I was thinking this might be better all round since I am not tied into a long contract like internet often is.

Also computer is pretty old so the VPS is most likely gonna be miles faster.

The other, original, obvious reason is they will have a stable and probably faster connection.

So does this sound like a better idea for running my automation programs?

My current 'net connection is fine for surfing and downloading my daily doses of pr0n but it's terrible for SB blasts and other intensive stuff.

I just recently got a vps through xsserver.eu and its working pretty good for sb. Im getting about 500 links submitted per minute. I got the $35 package in case your interested.
 
Hmm thanks for the stats.

500 links per minute sounds nice.

Hmm, I'm thinking I wanna figure out how to index backlinks properly 1st cos there is no point getting millions of links if they aren't gonna be indexed that would be a waste.

Could you explain a bit how it works? Setting it up etc.

I can second this. Last month I bought a laptop just for SB and AMR, since my PC was too noisy to leave on all night. However, some people suggested that SB will eat a lot of bandwidth, so I should get a VPS. I got a VPS also from xsserver, and it was a great investment. The connection speed is a lot faster than my home internet connection, plus I don't have to worry about bandwidth or RAM.
 
Setting up the vps is pretty simple, just make sure you get a windows vps. Then all you gotta do is use the login info from xsserver and remote desktop connection on any windows computer. Youtube "how to connect to a vps" if you want some good step by step videos.

Another plus for me is the unmetered bandwidth. Don't have to worry about your isp shutting you down for running sb 24/7
 
A gf will decrease your pr0n requirements for about 1-2 months. But then as you get bored of her you will actually see jacking off to pr0n as a treat. Oh yeah and get the VPS, xsserver FTW.
 
Ye this really seems like a great investment now I looks at it more.

I see I can get $15 dollars a month for most basic. I bet this will still beat my home comp hands down.

I also was very enticed by the unmetered thing.

I will be signing up asap.

So unlike your comp having to be on noisy, boiling your room, taking up elec etc etc. you could leave this badboy running in germany while SB supercharges your rankings 24/7? My desire for pr0n suddenly diminished as I just creamed my pants.
