Hi,

Has anyone ever successfully gamed Web of Trust's algorithms? At this point, new ratings and comments for my website can only be added through WOT add-ons for different browsers. I've been working on this for a while now, but all my accounts get suspended, reason being - "suspected of using multiple accounts". They can even detect suspicious behavior when I log in in with two different accounts to two different browsers from two different IP-addresses!!

Any solution to this? Appreciate any help I can get. :)

Thanks!

I don't have any experience with WOT, but have you tried using vpns with different geo locations? For difficult sites I usually use switchvpn and change data centers in between submissions.

I don't have any experience with WOT either. Are you using proxies? Most proxies can be checked for suspicious activity. They probably are checking multiple databases before publishing your comments and ratings. Search your IP address and see what you find.

First of all, thanks for the replies, guys!

I've been using HideMyAss VPN so far. Each time I posted a new comment/rating, I changed my location to a different country and opened up a new browser, then logged in with a completely different username and password.

It seems the only way to manipulate the ratings is by using different computers. That's the only way it has worked so far.

HTTP does not pass any computer information beside user agent header. So ideally you should have new proxy, and new user agent and should be sufficient.
