worth to register?

Hello,

I'm quite new into this. So tell me when i do something wrong.

Let's say i have two dutch words: "word1" and "word2". When i use the google keyword tool and run it on those 2 words together (word1 word2), it says the local search volume during the month July was: 2,240,000.

So, is it worth to register the domain: word1word2.com ?

It really depends if the niche shows signs of commercial viability, as well as if you have done your research on the #1 site to see if you can do at least 10-15% more than they did in regards to on page seo and off page SEO / backlinks. You will also need to make sure that your sites content is unique, always updating as well as has a keyword density of 1-3% I.e. 1 keyword phrase in the first paragraph and in last paragraph as well as 1-2 sets of the keyword phrase within the remaining body of content.

If it shows signs of commercial viability and you know that your competition has 250 backlinks with you knowing you can get 25-38 more back links then go for it!

I highly doubt 2,240,000 volume is a "broad match"

It more than likely depends on the words. Try doing a traffic estimate on "word1word2" and "word1 word2" in quotes. See who searches that exact phrase.

The actual domain name provides so little value though as compared to what's on the page, that i wouldn't just buy the name unless you have something to put there and build a site around.

Of course, with domain names only costing $7 tops now, why not just buy it and see what happens?

Thanks for helping me.

I did a traffic estimate on "word1 word2" (in quotes) and the result is the same as the result on the search without the quotes: 2,240,000 (see screenshot). When i try "word1word2" (in quotes but without spaces) there is not enough data. That's logical because it doesn't mean anything.

I'm not sure what "broad match" mean, but it's a default setting when i do the search.

Like TheHockeyGod said, the price of a domain name is very low, so i bought it (my first domain btw). Now, i have to build some site around it.

Ok, i think this is what you want to see. "word1 word2" (in quotes) and set the match type on "exact". The results are a lot lower. Does it still have some potential? Is it high or low?

when i was relatively new to im.. i searched this phrase which had 1,830,000 broad searches.. and only 292,000 google search results in quotes.. booked the domain name immediately..got articles written on it... then noticed the exact search which was only 1,900!! disappointing.. but learnt my lesson.. guess its still not too bad but keep that in mind while doing your research..
