Hello guys,
I have an account with 300k followers. I had 15k likes on average. Best posts had 20-21k likes.

At last duration, I get 10k likes on average. My best is 15-16k maximum!

I was never using bot on this account. The account is 4 years old and went viral without botting.
I don't add hashtags or locations to my posts.
I don't follow\unfollow.

What are you guys suggest me to do?:(
The account is not following anyone. Just 6 users which are my other pages and profiles.

What I am thinking to do:
1. Follow other pages and people on my niche to get more interactions from big profiles. (Powerlikes?)
2. Start using Stories feature to have more interactions with followers. (I didn't use it yet, just for partnerships)
3. Upload 3 posts a day maximum.

Thanks in advance!

Since your account is 4 year old account there is a possibility that many accounts are inactive / bots. Many people use big accounts to get followers from by using a bot. First get rid of those accounts. Maintaining a good quality of followers for a big account is necessary.

Stories are extremely helpful. Post 2-3 stories everyday.
Shoutouts and DM likes from other accounts in your niche are helpful too.

If your content is of high quality then you don't need to post 2-3 pics/vids in a day.

You might want to start interacting with other IG accounts related to your niche, partner up with other big accounts to bring in new followers.

And I would also start uploading more, maybe even stories to go with it. ( Quality>Quantity)

Stories, meaningful captions, high quality images + interaction with other IG accounts in your niche and with your followers should bring more life into your account and subsequently lead to higher engagement rates.

I will start posting 2-3 stories everyday.

About Shoutouts and DM from other accounts, I will do it. I will follow other pages on my niche and post their content on my stories. They will post me back for sure.

Thanks for your reply!

I will start to do partner with other big accounts. I will post their content on my stories and they will do the same for me.

In addition, I will follow them and like their posts. Maybe its good to get more likes from big accounts.
I hope it helps.

Thank you for your reply. I will do this.

How can I get rid of those accounts?

I don't know any apps/tools which are operating as of now. The ones I knew got shutdown or stopped in March,2018.

But I think there is a way,

- Pick a great Instagram Analytics service and audit your followers. There are plenty of options.
- Run an engagement check by followers. The platform will take many hours to do that.
- Notice the least engaged followers and inactive/ghost followers and export them as a list.
- Import that list in a bot to unfollow them all or use iMarcos to do that.

Great, thank you for your time

you would want to export all your followers into an excel spreadsheet
export all your likes from your last posts ( I usually do this for my last 15 posts)
export all your comments from the same posts
combine all of them into a single spreadsheet column
and then remove duplicates.
All the accounts that were removed for being duplicates were accounts that
1. follow you
2. liked your recent posts
3. commented on your recent posts
meaning they are high engage accounts.

The accounts that are left are ghost followers and low interaction accounts.
you'll want to separate the accounts you want removed from your followers list
and the accounts you want to re-engage with.
This last method is up to you to invent :)
happy hunting.

Have you considered doing a giveaway to engage the audience. It will likely give you a better idea of how many are active etc

Most automation software has the ability to unfollow inactive accounts but is their software out there that allows you to remove those accounts from following you?
