Worried about using scraped emails to create audience

I hope everyone is well! I recently bought scraped emails from competitor pages. Someone told me to do this and that I could create a custom audience. I have the data but I am nervous about using it with my businesses account. Has anyone done this before? What are the odds my ads account will get shutdown?

First of all email are scraped with tools like Scrapebox. I think you shouldn't buy lists but creates the lists by yourself since it's cheaper. But anyway, using emails for facebook ads is totally fine.
 
Well I wasnt planning on spamming the people with emails. I was only going to use the list to create a look a like audience. I paid someone on fiverr to do the research. Didnt know it was illegal so I wont be fucking with it haha.

Its not illegal to used scraped emails. I use scraped emails all the time to promote offers. The key is to just clean the scraped email list and honor opt out requests.

SHould use a throw away domain to shield your main domain when spamming.

Have you seen any success sending out mass emails like this? What would you use for a throw away domain? Wont it make the brand look bad?
 
Would you guys use this email list to create similar audiences in google ads or facebook ads?>
 
I think it's fine to use them to create lookalike audiences from the point of view of security ! but from perfermance POV i dont think it will be useful ! i really recommend you build your own list ! and build auience using your pixel !

Yes I have been doing email marketing for a long time now. Set up your throw away domain to 301 rediect to your main site. Use a similar named domain. Even big businesses use secondary domains for mass emailing.

This sounds interesting. How would I go about doing this? Also how is this not illegal?

Hi! The use of email for advertising is not illegal. It will be cheaper to create lists yourself, also do not forget about using a throw away domain.
