For all you BH's that like to go out and tip a few, this is for you. I haven't had a hangover in about 2 years and I drink about twice a week. My secret...Nyquil. After a hard night out I take 1-2 "shots" of Nyquil before I go to bed and I sleep like a baby...and wake up feeling fine. Works every time.

And no, I'm not an affiliate for Nyquil:D. Just a happy, hangover free customer.

You don't even feel dehydrated? My best cure is prevention-- drink water all night, plus salty food.

Dehydrated? No. I'm not saying not to drink some water (gator-aid is the best), but I add the Nyquil...liquid form only (tastes like shit). Good question...and a great combination. Nyquil+Gator Aid = no hangover:D

Meh, its easier for me to just neck like 2 pints of water and wake up hang over free (occasionally piss my pants but hey, gotta take the rough with the smooth)

Menudo is good for hangovers, as are bananas Of course, the best solution is not to go out and get hammered in the first place! :p

There is plenty of alcohol in nyquil so why not just do nyquil shooters all night?

Although they say that acetamenophin (which in nyquil) combined with large amounts of alcohol will cause liver damage over time so maybe not a good idea to do it twice a week on a regular basis.

But hey, they say just about every thing these days will kill you or cause cancer.

You mean the best prevention is NyQuil. Cure would be something you take once you have the hangover. I've found that the absolute best cure is an IV of dextrose (5% solution) or a plain old saline (NACL 0.9%) IV. Most of a hangover is dehydration at the cellular level, and by taking your fluids (and electrolytes) by IV they go straight to where they are needed. No need to pass through the gut. You can literally go from feeling so bad you want to die to feeling just a bit sleepy (but perfectly fine) in a matter of minutes. It's amazing. It helps to know people that work in a medical clinic or hospital.

If you don't have access to this, Gatorade & aspirin (not Tylenol, it is super bad for your stomach & liver when combined with alcohol) will work best. And time.

Hey yeti, is it practical for the normal person to set up a drip? I assume you can just hang a bag anywhere practical and insert needle into vein... is there a site you know of that has the details on administering a drip? It sounds like a miracle :) Also, what would be the point of using dextrose solution over normal saline?

Hey...I'm just an average guy. I'm not a chemist and I don't have IV's laying around the house. Drink some Gator-Aid, take a shot of Nyquil and see what happens. And yes...the smart thing would be to not drink at all. I'm not that smart.

I have a friend that used to have an oxygen tank & mask and he would put that on the morning after. Don't think that works though, he's just crazy.

2 pints of water before I go to sleep usually does the trick, I forgot that last night though :(

I think a saline drip and an oygen mask with short on-command bursts of nitrous oxide would be a nice way to wake up after a night of drinking LOL

My buddy was a medic in the army. He said they use to party their asses off and they'd all wake up the next morning and give themselves IV's and Oxygen...so yea it works. He said his hangover would be gone instantly.

Where can I score some IV's :D

PS: I'm on my 3rd beer

Airline pilots have been known to use the oxygen masks the next day after a long night of partying (100% oxygen.) don't ask me how I know ;)

No wonder they drink so much (pilots are notorious boozers). They all have easy access to 02.
