Working SEO Methods in 2016

I also had a couple sitewide links from websites in the same niche, a Wikipedia link, a couple Q/A links, archive message board sites like *****, but yeah, more or less.

The keyword difficulty for the 16 million results keyword (that I rank #9 for currently) has a difficulty of 48.

That's really good results. Man...

Did you do anything special with regard to siloing your website? And how were you aiming these links by proportion (percent to home vs hub page vs landing page)?

And what about your anchor text? What ratios did you need for these results?

PBN's work great. I have a couple of my own to be honest (however they're still being built. They're all around 1-3 months old and I'm having 2-3 articles posted on each per month to try and build up authenticity. Ain't no spam on these blogs!

What linkbuilding strategy have you adopted for these PBNs? Is it the layered one? (layer 1, layer 2, layer 3). And if yes, are these layered being spammed?

I saw what people in my niche were doing.. and made content that was of a higher quality than theirs. I initially used Reddit to promote my website, and it generates around 2,000 unique visitors per day every day, which has helped establish a nice flow of targeted traffic.

Regarding where the links were aimed: I didn't have a specific percentage. I was aiming everything at the homepage until I started copying links from my competitors, and linked to my content that was related to the content they had linked to. So as of today, it's around 70% targeted at the homepage, 30% at inner pages.

My anchor text is 10% naked URL, 10% to the 16 million keyword, and (currently) anywhere from 1-3% for about 10 other keywords, my website name, generic anchors. I could probably target my keyword a little harder, but I'm trying my hardest to keep this as natural and real looking as possible.

I don't have them pointed at any website yet. At a certain point I'll be linking them to one of my websites, but not until I'm happy with them.

Wow, have to say I'm impressed here. I think what you've done is proof that doing something RIGHT can have vastly different outcomes than doing the exact same thing WRONG. Bravo.

Do not think about do-follow links only. Go for no-follow as well, do not even indeed check if the site you are getting backlink from provides no follow or do follow. Then it will be more natural and you will rank better.

It really can. You have to be careful not to overdo it though as it's easy enough to get carried away.

Not true at all. You can be on a gaming website and make a political post, you can be on internet marketing forum and make a post about movies you liked. You don't need exclusively related backlinks.

I doubt it, especially if i plan long term SEO Results.
 
24,000 natural backlinks in 3 months?
8000 a month
1800 a week
258 a day
Working a 14 hour day 7 days a week that's a backlink every 3 minutes.

I have no problem with it with this as a method. Seems sound overall.
I just can't get my head around 24,000 backlinks in 90 days being (or being seen by the SE's) as natural.

Nice share OP, I am doing posting on niche related forums for my website its working great getting traffic and links. Plus interlinking.

I'd already went over (twice I think?) that a large chunk of the "total" backlinks were from a couple reciprocal link exchanges in the same niche, with thousands of pages on each site. :)
 
i would mainly use editorial links as well as natural links that come as google definately does value these higher.
