Working on a new look

This skin is easier on the eyes, but I have a request for all 3 themes ...
change the link backgrounds from (#CECFFF) to something that makes it easier to read the text. Orange on light-grey just doesn't work well with small text.

Looks interesting Harro, it's a cool way to keep the forum's look interesting. Of course not everybody will love it, which is why the old themes are still available.

I like it, personally.
 
It woul be cool if it showed when rep was given and from who.

I think it would help reminding users to give rep.

I agree with this. It would also be nice if we could give rep's within user profiles, in case any of us get behind on our repping and want to get the job done quickly.

Harro. Why is it in the new look you can't save a post to favorites or am I missing something?.. Is it in a differnt place?
 
I like the skin being used here. I'm not used to the vBulletin styling system, but taking a quick look at the page source their seems to be a managable amount of css. Though I don't understand why it isn't placed in an external .css document?

I'm tempted to install vbulletin and rip the skin so I can have a go at converting it for us whitehats :D

Actually this isn't the skin HaRRo was working on, this one is available at vBulletin.org, the one HaRRo was working on seems to have been deleted after the site was hacked :(
 
I actually managed to see HaRRos skin whilst he was trying to restore the DB a few hours ago. I'm guessing it was an older version though as it had some Xmas themed banner along the top.

I've heard about this site being hacked 3 times now. Have you ever considered moving away from vBulletin? Judging by comments on another BH forum it's just script kiddies that are knocking your site offline. Both vBulletin and phpbb are too vulnerable these days imo. I found switching to a less popular OS BB solution kept the kiddies away :p

If you're not interested in converting to another BB how about setting up some kind of facebook or myspace account just so we all have some place to go while you guys are busting your balls trying to fix the main site?

Still a n00b here so you're welcome to tell me to mind my own business :D
 
vbulletin is best, patched and up and running, and i will work on a way as a backup somewhere you can go if it ever happens. But i dont see it coming anytime soon
