Contracting work - all kinds.

I've known mechanics who contracted out to a middle eastern country @ $750 a day.

IT contracting will get you $400 plus daily.

Not really slavery if you work a job that you love and you have supportive teammates.
 
Totally get what you're saying! I've had jobs that paid well, but nothing beats the buzz of making even a small amount on my own. It's like, every buck I earn is a high-five to myself. There's just something awesome about knowing you did it all by yourself, right? Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way!
 
Many people find the satisfaction of working for themselves and building their own income source more fulfilling than traditional jobs.
 
I will hug the $300 - $400 daily job over $2 anytime any day, I am in my early twenties what am I using all this energy for?

Running your business is slavery in its own way, how dare you rest when your competition is up at night brainstorming creative ways to put you out of business.

When I work fr someone all I have to do is do what I am asked to do, simple.

Yes freelancing is best until you have good number of clients.
 
If you are enjoying your life while working either a job or freelancing. You are already winning in life. If you are not enjoying and just doing it coz you need the money to pay bills and stuff that you are not even interested in then you are better than that. Do something that you enjoy.
 
If you like your job, after a while this slavery starts to feel light.
