Working in VR

Work flow too slow, thought about working in VR - This guy already does it - was gonna rant about how I'm tired of switching tabs

mfw screens on every side of your head in VR. Also working from space is a nice Justice League kind of touch.


The question is for you, do you guys own a VR headset? Have you tried using it for work?

I have never used VR headset it looks dizzy. But I bet the porn is good!!

Headache 100% of the time after 1 hour...

I think it will become mainstream in the future, and people dissing it out is like people in the 70s-80s thinking computer screens will be too damaging to the eyes hence they wont use them for work, unbeknownst to them, work will literally be done with computers in a not so distant future.

VR's probably heading that way too, from what it seems.

Besides, I think there's a cost potential too, instead of buying 20 crazy expensive screens if you want screens on every side, or even a new PC, just buy a VR headset and work on Cloud connection.

Yeah no not even millionaires buy 20 crazy expensive screens to put on every side... or can work from a space-station. Yeah VR will change the world for certain.

You will even be able to work from any kind of setting from your favorite stories or fiction, surrounded by your teammates whose avatars are all sorts of fictional characters, and that will be the new norm. I've read Ready Player One book just barely a year ago, but did never suspect it will become reality so soon, it's progressing at a really fast rate.

I personally think VR is going to boom a lot. It has many use cases in gaming/education etc but it's still in infancy to start using it for work, some time ago fb (i think) shared a video of working in vr and resolution of text etc felt horrible tbh.

Buying a VR set and renting a cloud machine to connect and work is a great fucking idea. Like carrying your laptop/VR Set at coffee shops and working from there enjoying your coffee?!

VR and AR will constitute the future of social media, but we still have a ways to get there. Even beyond social media, there are even trading platforms using AR to make those trading charts pretty.

Don't quote me on this, future IMers... but I think this is a stupid idea. A real time waster.

I can't even stand in front of a 3D movie without getting a headache, VR is just not for me, the problem isn't wether peoples would accept it or not, it's a fact that the technology is still inefficient for it to be implemented in the daily office routines. Maybe with porn, gaming and movies, that's it. As for AR that's another story.

I don't see it in fruition anytime soon
Definitely the next big thing for gaming

VR can not replace real practice completely. I work in mechanical engineering and have experience with VR training. The feeling of using real tools is different from choosing the tool in VR.

I used a Google card box one time with my phone, it was a different experience, I would love to watch some VR porn. :3
