Work Smart Not Hard

Not smart, but probably lucky. Or maybe smart too as it would be complete scam he wouldn't have many paying users.
If he's doing it the right way he can have those paying customers as followers and actually make some good promotion.

But I completely agree, work smart not hard.
I hear the phrase 'when you go to sleep, your competitors may continue working and they will be few hours ahead of you' - and it makes me laugh as it's applicable in most cases to physical work. You can lay more bricks, yes, but not guaranteed to make more money or actually be ahead. More tired - most likely.

I'm more in it for long term clients than a quick buck, but whatever floats your boat i guess. You should block out his account info in the original post though...
 
Reminds me of the documentary Fyre on Netflix where a bunch of IG celebs/models were paid insane amounts to promote a stupid music festival that was a complete disaster. They didn't even disclose they were sponsored either. I believe Kylie Jenner got $250,000 for a single post. Not sure what's worse

I mean the clients think they are growing because he usually goes on their posts and gets fake views likes etc. This is probably how he keeps getting customers, they are recommending him without realizing that all his engagement is faked. Long term clients are probably no big deal for him
 
Hmm, I assume at least some of them can see that he's a fake? He must be getting hell of a lot of PayPal disputes from angry customers? Or people are THAT GULLIBLE?
But yeah, although he's a scammer, he's also smart. Why? Because he doesn't just do nothing. He actually sends them fake followers/likes, so from their perspective they're actually getting something. Of course they're not getting any real engagement, but let's say there's some awful rapper who buys his promotion. Even if it was real people, they would probably not listen to his music and would probably follow him even less compared to the numbers from fake followers. So he's scamming them, but without actual consequence to their success. And I guess it only works in this particular niche, because if it was say a cats niche, then most people would ask him for cat-item promos and expected some sales. Fake followers wouldn't generate sales and everyone would find out that he's a fraud.

Not if he pushes views on the buyers videos to 'prove' the power of his account. He's basically selling the illusion of popularity which in turn strokes their ego. That's all the artist wants. It's their passion that they love so they will do it regardless of paydays or not. In a way they're basically paying for validation of themselves.

It's like any hobby that you want do and buy equipment for..

It's a good scam to do behind the screen, I work with a lot of people in the music scene and when they find out you will not last in this industry but if the artists are smart they would ask for engagements and stats.

He's actively promoting to the unknown artists though who may never even make it and probably don't even know about the statistics side. Hyperbole of likes and views may just satisfy them enough.

Yeah most of these guys are ppl that dropped their first song like 4 days ago and want it to blow up. They will pay whatever they got to get it up there. They see all the other artists getting 70k+ views and want in on it.

A lot of his customers are local so he can do e-transfer directly to his bank. Even if the other person charges back he still keeps his money.

Well here's my problem. It is unethical and I wouldn't call it smart. If that guy was selling in bhw for example, he would be getting shitlisted in no time! If I was a newbie, I wouldn't be following him atleast.

Surprise that many called this scamming since most of us in bhw faking their follower in social media.

This is maybe unethical, but definitely not scamming since he deliver his service.

Scam (definition) - a dishonest scheme; a fraud.
 
It’s scam, he is making rappers fool, it’s maybe smart but not ethical & cool.
