i an new to wordpress, i want to create my own site/blog, however i do not want to use the themes that they have, i want to create my own, does wordpress have a builder or editor i can use?

Wordpress officially has no builder or editor, however creating wordpress themes is very easy.

Search for "Wordpress themes from HTML or PSD". You will get necessary pointers for making wordpress theme. You can also start from some framework and build themes as per your design interests, keeping the base code same.

Its not very easy if you dont know what you are doing.

HTML and CSS is the prime requirement. If the person knows about this, I don't think they will have much issues with the theme building.

for Wordpress theme building you must need to know Advance PHP with SQL

Wordpress is simply awesome Platform for blogging or site creation

Artisteer is a good software for making themes. I have it and like it. I haven't made themes in a year or so, but they keep it up to date.

As u r new on wordpress,,,,,go n search 4 any free theme.Don't waste ur time in making theme,,,,There r tonnes of free theme available.

Absolutely agree with Zoya.

There are tonnes of free as well as premium themes available for download. Just look in this forum's downloads section.

Why would you want to build a theme from scratch?

Just download a premade theme and you are good to go.

wordpress has many templates that can be edited in a simple way. you will also find builder plugins that will make it even easier. You'll build a website faster this way.
