Hello guys :)

I've spent all night trying to figure something out, but simply can't and was wondering if anybody here could help?

I'm looking at trying to post a youtube video (embedded) into my wordpress site - however preventing clicking on it so people can't leave my site to go to youtube.

If somebody could point me in the right direct then I would really appreciate this!

Thank you!! :)

I don't think it is possible to disable. It makes sense that youtube would want viewers to click through to youtube.
Is it your video that you are embedding on your site?

Search for plugin " YouTube by Embed plus team". Hope it helps.

i use a theme that allows for youtube vids to play without leaving the site, visitors also have the option to click through to youtube if they want, just embedding video will allow your visitors to watch the vid from your site, clicking the vid will not take them to YT unless they click the YT icon. You can remove or hide this a simple search on the neti found ways for you to do it. just search for - embed youtube videos hide logo

Most movies on youtube allow you to grab the embed code on the right side. What you do is you copy the embed code right next to the movie, under the description and then make a new post in your blog. Somewhere the new post section should have a edit HTML option (it's been ages since i've worked with wordpress) and there you paste the embed code. Congrats your video should now show up! :)

Maybe you can play with the iframe size, but it will cut a bit of your video with the logo

Yeah, OP knows that already. He wants to embed the videos but doesn't want those clickable links that will take his/her visitors away from his site and go to YouTube.

@OP, search for a WP plugin called "Youtube Playlist Video Player" and see if it does the job you're looking for.

If all else fails, install a plugin that opens all external links on a new tab or window, that way your visitors won't leave your site.
