wordpress vs Blogspot

For blogspot, you have to be familiar with html if you want to customize anything.

For wordpress we kinda need html and php too so , beginner kinda need basic code learning. just google would be worth spending.

Actually for me, I prefer Wordpress over blogger, and I have my reasons for that

I have a professional website, which is wordpress, and there's a blog in it. I'm just thinking, would it make sense to set up a blogspot to duplicate the blog posts, for the purpose of SEO, as you said blogspot is owned by google?

wordpress is really good and blogger is good too but I only use blogger for 1st tier

Wordpress because its easy to start for noobs and with all those themes and plugins you can make whatever you want

i'm FROMiVC, and using blogspot simply because it is easier to navigate than wordpress. I could do anything i like on wordpress quicker on blogspot. i also recommend blogspot as it's associated with google and what better way can you come up on google indexes with Your affiliate blogs, with the right seo, everything on Your blospot would immediately be resulted on the first pae of google. Wordpress i would only recommend for it's pluggins and ever updating features.

I gotta go with wordpress because of the insane customization options. Being only semi-versed in wordpress I highly recommend using backups often. Everytime I screw something up and I'm not sure what I did I just restore it back to an old version. Works quite well :)

Still wordpress
Simple, lot of themes & plugins
User friendly & good display interface

With "the right SEO" you'll come up in the search results even with plain HTML-site - blog being owned/hosted by Google has no effect on it. Also there's no real effect with indexing nor its speed comparing Blogger to WP.

I definitely can not imagine any huge difference between both of the blogging services.

These are stupid thoughts that Blogspot is better to wordpress.. The platform has absolutely nothing ot do with anything and it will never be the case...

How you build you site ... Good quality content.. good backlinks is what will keep you at the top

Wordpress is still the best. WP has so much more to offer and there are more ways to edit and customize WP. I use both blogging platforms though. Blogspot isn't bad but I would pick Wordpress over it almost all the time. My only exception is my book review blogs because a large part of the book review blogging community uses blogspot.

well you use what suit you best, if you excel in using blogspot than have no worries to migrate to wordpress, and vice versa, for me i have websites on each platform. Its a good thing to get to know both platform and compared to each other.

If I didnt have my own site, I would choose blogspot.com over wordpress.com everytime.
