Wordpress is better in all means....
I am new to this whole scene, but that dosnt mean I haven't done my extensive research.
From what I have learned, WordPress seems to be the the king of the castle. Especialy if you decide to buy web hosting with WP, and either get the Genesis or Thesis themes for it aswel.
The thesis theme is what I am using currently, and I am not displeased by it at all. Its built in SEO features are a total WIN, but when it comes to designing the theme how you want, get ready for a learning curve! Or you can use some of the thesis child themes found around here at bhw or on various sources on the web.
But if you do decide to get your own webhost and WP with any paid themes you download from anywhere for free, make sure they do not contain any backdoor access to your site. Use various plugins to check for this within wordpress, such as the TAC plugin.
Anyways, I hope I was able to provide some good advice.

In my opinion, you should go for wordpress. Since, it is an adult website, your data will be more safe there. Again, the pluggins will also help you to organize the content on your website.
