*Wordpress* Using post tags for keyword SEO

On a wordpress based website, in which posts usually only contain 1 image and a title with no related keywords, is it viable to use post tags as your main source of keyword SEO?

Of course search engines can not read images, only text, and posts in this situation contain no text, only images and a title with no specific keywords in it, adding keywords to the post in this case would be a real eye-sore and just not viable, so is it viable to use post tags for keyword SEO instead?

Post tags would give your temporary Rankings,actually for a very less time.

But if your use it properly they can be of good help, I have seen many blogs getting Good rankings because of use of certains Keywords as post tags
