Today I got 100 mails to my email address stating:

[h=3]WordPress Firewall has detected and blocked a potential attack![/h]This may be a "WordPress-Specific SQL Injection Attack."

I have wordpress Firewall 2.0 installed on my site which is what sent me the email. Is there anything I need to do?

1337day or some other website released new WP exploit and kiedis decided to take action :)

Make sure you avoid the anonymous directory browsing with this code in your .htaccess.

Options -indexes

This code works on linux based hosts and stops the anonymous directory browsing and only allows to the admins and the user of that cpanel account. That being said, get a wordpress security plugins that blocks attacks on login info. Also assign a new login URL if possible which will avoid the attack.

Can you suggest any security plugin?

Hi,

Try this plugin. This plugin will do most of the things that you need to secure the wordpress. There are some to-do list inside this plugin which you should do to make wordpress secure. It also offers you login attempt limit, alternate URL for login, htaccess security and many other things.

This value functions on a red hat systemunix program based provides and prevents the strange collection looking and only allows to employees and the individual of that cpanel concern. That being said, get a wordpress platforms techniques systems protection plug-ins that prevents concerns on sign in essential information. Also determine a new sign in URL if possible which will prevent the assault.
