I use twitterfeed rather than a plugin. Works really well. The only risk is if they stop working for any reason but so far I've had no problems.

Twitter tools does the job. even with wp-robot integration.

you guys seem to have integrated latest twitter tools perfectly with wp-robot 3, why do i have a prob?
i registered my site as an app and entered all the info required by twitter tools for authentication but the process keeps on failing no matter how many times i copy and paste....any help?

same here tried to sync my blog with twitter and nothing is showing up on my twitter page. didnt understand why they wanted me to claim my site is a "app" just doesnt make any sense the old way was just use your username and password now this new way is to make your site an "app" and copy and paste a whole bunch of useless information to your wp plugin, shitz ridiculous can some one please help?

I'm having no luck with a new install using wp robot and twitter tools.
One advantage to having your tweets come from your registered app is that the tweets will show as tweeted via yoursite.
Still searching solution. I'm going to check the app registration page next, maybe I screwed something up there...

the best solution I found was twitterfeed (dot) com they sync the blog up with twitter all you have to do is take your entries feed URL and copy and paste and it is gonna sync up perfectly, twitterfeed automatically shortens your links. I tried wp-to-twitter and it was the same as twitter tools.
