Hello all,

I need to start earning some money quick and my knowledge is limited ... I know how to set up wordpress and woocommerce and was wondering if I could sell wordpress themes. I already got lifetime accounts on Woothemes, Elegant Themes and others. Can I just add those themes/plugins to my site or do they need to be "nulled"? I contacted Woothemes and they told me I could use the theme infinitely on as many servers as I wanted. This means there is no install limit right?

Thank you!

anyone with some knowledge of themes/plugins and "null" ?

You may be surprised, but it's actually legal. Elegant Themes are all under GPLv2, you can do whatever you want with their themes.
They recently had a similar "suprsise" with one of their plugins, Lead Pages took it, rebranded it and distributed it for free.

In case you want to hear the story:
Code:

Not ethical, but legal. Altough I don't think you'll make any money, people buy the packages for support and updates (+ all the marketing and branding they've done), you can't offer anything besides the code (which can be found just about anywhere)

I actually tried to buy cheap themes and landed on a clusterf*ck of add riddled pages, false links, porn popups and everything in between. I would setup a very clean professional looking store that doesn't have any advertisements or false links or porn or "going in circles". That should have SOME value right ? right ?? (im desperate for some cash flow)

So I can just publish the themes from my ET lifetime account download without any issues ?

Elegant themes actually pitch themselves as a framework and have dev license options so I don't see too much of a question of ethics here.
You probably don't want to go and nuke any mention of elegant themes (consult license/support) but you should be fine to use the themes.

Just don't think you are going to modify a theme and suddenly start banking. Just doesn't work that way. You're already taking a shortcut by not wanting to do work so i'm concerned for you there.

I would not buy a budget theme again. Recently did and the service was non-existant, though I did not learn that until I actually tried to download my theme. Then turns out the vendor had a dead link posted for the contact link. I went through Paypal to contact the vendor and was finally able to learn how to download my purchase. The vendor made no attempt to be affable or facilitate me as a customer. They have my money but I will never use the theme now because I do not trust them and they do not communicate. In a nutshell: ZERO customer service.
