Wordpress Theme with content friendly homepage

So, here is the problem. I think, its a very good thing to have a lot of content on the homepage, i have also found this video from our beloved Matt Cutts about this - (search on youtube this term "How much content should be on a homepage?) He basically says, that its better to have more content on the homepage.

My current website has 2400 words on the homepage, but the design is very primitive. My site is a car insurance affiliate site and i would like to have that professional look of a serious company. So I was searching on themeforest and I found this very good looking theme (and its the most downloaded) - Avada (i cant post links :/) but where do i put my 2400 words of content on the homepage there? I cant figure that out...

Is there any very good looking Wordpress theme where its possible to put a lot of content on the homepage too and it looks like an real company?

You can put as much content on a Wordpress homepage as you like. Go to Appearance > Customize then where it says "Front page" choose "static page" instead of "latest posts". Put all your content on a page, and assign that page as your front page.

BUT, a high word count won't be enough to get your site ranking. Look at some of the top ranking sites for "car insurance" - there aren't many words on the homepage. If you're going for more long tail search times, then content will help, but you're more likely to get your individual site pages ranked so it's better to use your homepage to show a snippet from each post.

The Matt Cutts video you refer to is also 3 years old. And he said to show snippets from 5-10 posts, not post thousands of words on a homepage.

You say 2400 words in your home. Do you know 2400 words is correct ?

And yes, you are right, i observed other top sites and they dont have a lot of content on the homepage. And i know about the method where you use a page to be shown as the homepage, but thats what i wanted to avoid, because a simple page looks, well... simple It doesnt have any slider or any other features, which i would like to have.

I am also thinking about utilizing more pages than posts. Now I have a section full of articles to all my keywords, but i dont think thats a good approach. Do you think it would be better to create maybe 10 pages made solely to the respective keywords and paste the articles into each page (i mean if i have now 3 posts about "car insurance online" then i will create a page about it and put the content of those 3 article there and delete the "posts/blog" section altogether or maybe just put some uncategorised posts there)?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but this page is making me a lot of money and i cant make any big errors with it
