Guy's I need help finding a wordpress theme for my client.

I just want something very simple. 2 columns on the main page, no slider, but with a customizable image based header. Good top level navigation system.

Something that would let me mimic this site would be awesome:

    Code:
    http://www.firstclassoutdoors.com/
It seems to be harder to find such a basic template than I thought.

Anyone got any useful suggestions ? Am happy to pay for the template. It is for the travel niche if that's any help.

Most themes are able to accomplish this nowadays. Sliders are completely voluntary...

Really that looks like just about every theme available only with a Text widget sidebar.

That's what I thought, but most themes look like I'm going to have to chop up loads of bits to make them look like that. I just want something easy that I can just go bang and install.

That's the way it is.. You won't need to chop them up, simply don't fill out the slider and do a Text widget on the sidebar.

The only prerequisites I see here are a top menu and a sidebar.

about any wordpress theme can do that - that is such a simple site I wouldn't give it to a client.

I would try Thesis or Suffusion Theme

thesis is in the download section

Suffusion is free and can be made to look really good

    Anyway goodluck with it

It wouldn't be my first choice either, but it is what he asked for.

My main issue is finding a template that can handle a relatively large header image that firmly sits above the main nav bar.

I've got a few that will probably be fine, but if anyone has any theme suggestions I would love to hear them.
