Wordpress theme suggestion needed...

I need some suggestions on what theme to use for two sites I am in the process of making. I was looking over this forum and it looks like it is best to just go with Wordpress. (I had been considering using Pelican with Python). Anyway, I was wondering what themes you guys constantly find yourself using?

With these two sites, one will be a site related to a minor medical condition I have and the objective is to get people to purchase products on Amazon that I have used to treat this condition. So, your basic Amazon affiliate site.

The other site will be a site to sell a simple product I am working on. It is test preparation products for a professional certification that I have some experience with. It may also do some Amazon affiliate stuff because a lot my most helpful materials I actually purchases through Amazon.

I am a mediocre designer right now, so any help you guys can give me on picking a theme would be a lot of help. It must be responsive and would prefer for it be mobile first. I understand form a response on one of my first posts that a lot of themes are available here for free.

do a search around for wordpress sites that you like the look of and then run them through a theme identifier website to get one you like.

I didn't know those existed. Will have to find a good theme identifier website now!

Go with wordpress without thinking.

Search through wordpress' official theme repository or look around themeforest, elegantthemes etc. for something you like.

Theme identifiers are useful but, if you're learning, you can't beat looking at the page source and poking around in the header links. Not only will you find out the theme that's being used but you'll start to pick up a feel for css, frameworks or cdn's being used.

And one day, you will find yourself kung fu fighting, plucking bullets out of air, and wearing leather trenchcoats. You will no longer see the website, but only it's code. You will then have to make a choice: buy a theme, or create one, Neo.

Type in a website you like and then search in google 'examplesite wordpress theme' and their will be discussions about wordpress themes similair (if not the same) to that website.

If you find a site you like you can paste the URL here: http://whatwpthemeisthat.com/

If it's a wordpress site it will tell you the theme and also the plugins being used
