However, load time is 6-7 seconds long. What are your guys thoughts?

Why are you using hostgator? You can't expect amazing speeds from them. Try siteground or inmotion

add a cache
add yoast
add image optimized

use all there plugins then try again ....

You mean speed it up by adding cache and image optimized, then slow it down again by adding Yoast?
