Hello, just a quicky....

I've been playing around making Wordpress themes. I was wondering if any damage would be caused to my site if I included a link to my site as a NOFOLLOW in the footer of a theme, and put it on Wordpress for downloads. I could theoretically get 1000s of extra views then. I'm not after link juice, as I'm worried about followed links as you have no idea what content it going to be hosted with my theme.

This isn't for my money site (It's for my personal site) but I still don't want Google punishing me. Should I just avoid it completely?

Cheers

No need to avoid this. Everybody is using it, so go for it.

when you aren't after a linkjuice, you can do it and hopefully you will get some clicks going to your site..

Can't see this being a problem at all mate - especially with a Nofollow on it.

You won't get any juice from it, but you clearly don't care about that... go for it

Yes it will get you some positive link juice. But don't expect that much traffic

It will not pass any PR, but it will pass a little authority, well worth doing.

If you are gicing it away for free, create a pad submission and submit it to c-net and other Pad sites. THEN you will pull some serious authority and juice both.

What do you charge to make a theme? I have one that some idiot build, but I like the looks, just need some tweaks.
