I Have Wordpress With A Few 5k Articles On It (Not An Auto Blog) And I Have All Plugins Installed SEO Askimet google sitemap xml....bla bla

so i submitted my website to google and then i only got about 12 spider hits on my site (according to statpress)
is that normal , on my other blogs i ussually saw about 30-40 PER POST!

    Some Add. Information
    permalinks : /%category%/%postname%/
    robots.txt present...
    xml there...
am i missing something ..or do i wait for sometime to see the millions of spiders crawl...?
i just put the articles in today , started the website today...
    did everything today

    Thanks!

5k articles at a time, Normally when a new blog or articles is posted, a keyword research is made, some proper tags are entered for it and pinged from a few famous free ping services. If you did all that then wait for a few days to let engines to index your blogs
