Wordpress site SEO?

My apologies if this was discussed previously but I searched the forums and found nothing that I think would be of use to me.

I created my niche site with wordpress. Everything is ready to go and I'm not sure if there are any guides or tips for SEO. I read this thread written by omenfiz titled
SEO Wordpress tips for NEWBIE...
but being that that optimizes a blog, would it all still work for a website?

well blogs n websites are both pretty much same ,the main difference is blogs have user generated content and are a bit personal where as websites lack these and it does not matter if you're building a blog or website ,seo tactics almost remain the same like on page optimization,backlinking,proper layout,total page links and other things.

is the difference between a blog and website making a different earnings? Why google make a different search, search for web and blog search..little bit confuse about this..

Buy some premium wordpress themes. I use the themes of Woothemes and they have SEO integrated to their themes. You can customize your on-site SEO easily.
