For those of us that never heard of the yoast link above (like me), it has some very useful ideas in there for people that would like to SEO their blog. It's basic, but it gets the job done. The VIDEO is ok and the first plugin site is slightly outdated (2 years). However, part II has some great ideas in it. This was a great post.

I'm not sure on wp 2.5 but I recently upgraded to 2.6 and if there is an update for a plugin you are given the opportunity to automatically update. A little number appears in your panel telling you how many plugins there are upgrades for.

if you are on something like bluehost or hostmonster, use simplescripts NOT FANTASTICO to install the wp software.

With simplescripts you can disable the plugins (in your blog) , upgrade to the new version painlessly with the click of the mouse (in your c-panel), then re-activate your plugins.

My upgraded blogs all seem to be working great. You will have to re-enter a couple of things - such as your code for g00gle analytics.

But the all in one se0 plugin will update automatically.
