Testing out SEOMoz Pro and it says there are 2000+ "Duplicate Page Title" errors for my clients site. I'm pretty sure this is from splitting long articles into multiple pages using
Code:
[COLOR=#FF0000][FONT=Consolas]<!--nextpage-->[/FONT][/COLOR]
What would be the best way to correct this error?

Newyorkcity,

I would start by taking out the <!—nextpageà breaks so that you can get a more accurate picture of how many page titles you are dealing with. Then you will have to go through and change them all. Ideally you will want one target keyword for each page however if you don’t have that many keywords, simply making the page title unique should suffice.

On another note, if the posts are so long that they routinely warrant breaking them up into multiple pages, this is not a good practice. Blog posts should be less than 1000 words, ideally about 500 to 700 words. Having too much content will not hurt from an SEO stand point but from a user experience stand point, it can scare people off.

Here is a good post about common mistakes with titles,

Hope that helps,
