Maybe you didnt publish it. you just kept it in draft of something.

Sounds like you are a Wordpress Newbie? So forgive me when I start asking the very obvious first:

    - Have you clicked 'publish' when you where done writing the post? Go back to the 'edit post' screen and make sure it's not only a draft, but says 'published'.

    - May be you have written a page, not a post, so it shows in the top menu under pages, not under posts?

    - Have you set your latest post to show up on your front page (default) or changed that to show a specific page (in settings/reading)

I'd like to help you, but your description is too vague. If the above doesn't help, post more details please.

Ah! That doesn't work this way ).

A blog on Wordpress.com has nothing to do with your own website.

If you want to run a Wordpress blog on your own website under your own domain, you have to download the program from wordpress.org (notice the org, not the .com), it's currently version 2.8.1., and follow the instructions to install.

Make sure that you have a hosting account where you can set up a SQL database, because you need to set up a SQL database before you install Wordpress.

ok, if you already have set it up on your web server, which is the directory you have set it up in? e.g. if you have set it up at www . yourwebsite . com/wordpress, than you need to open your web browser and log in to at www . youwebsite .com/wordpress/wp-admin to access your blog.

    Not wordpress.com!

Try to log into your blog this way, if you get error message than it's not set up completely yet.
