Wordpress just pwn'd me...
So I worked late into the night last night creating a Wordpress blog only to learn after 3 or 4 hours of work that it was all for a lost cause.
My first fail: I learned that wordpress does not allow plugins unless you host it on your own domain. FAIL
My second fail: I tried adding a swf-style banner only to find out that they do not allow banners unless you host it on your own domain. FAIL
My question is, did I really get pwn'd by Wordpress or am I just nieve about how to get around these two roadblocks?
I mean buying and hosting my own domain is not a problem for me, its mainly having to wait the 24 hours or so for the DNS to propogate... I'm working on a time sensitive project and 24 hours is a lot of valuable time that would be wasted if I had to wait for all of the DNS schenanigans to clear up.
So any tricks or tips to get around these 2 problems guys?
Anyone that can answer with a solution to one or the other or both will get plus repped by your humble OP.
Thanks in advance everyone!
