Wordpress plugins - encoded

Hi,

I was thinking of making and selling some Wordpress plugins, but I'm thinking of encoding the PHP code to prevent copying.

IIRC, the WP folks seem to want to regard plugins as GPL, so what problems will there be if my plugins are not GPL?
