Wordpress Plugin to sell leads? CRM or Plugin?

Hello BHW,

A client of mine wants to sell his insurance leads to agents and has asked me to create a portal or a shop for him on the site.

He would like agents to create an account, deposit money, and then buy leads which he uploads to the site.

Are there any recommendations or guidance that you can guys can provide in regards to using a CRM or wordpress plugin to build such a lead store/shop?

Wooo that's freaky, was just searching on Google for the same question and this thread was in the SERP. Following along would also like to know. I'm doing some research now, will post if I find anything useful.

Edit: @helll0a so I think I may of worked it out roughly.

You could use a digital downloads plugin like this and upload the leads to it.

I've been making sites for a bit now. Most are brand sites / e-commerce related, not sure if this is applicable to fully solve your problem but it could be a start:
Buy the elementor builder plugin (it's cheap, also has a free version) --> set up ecommerce shop via WooCommerce (very easy to learn, literally drag and drop and customize, payment portals included I believe with Paypal)

As for logins, there are a lot of membership plugins available that can do stuff like this, I've used one briefly but don't do accounts anymore because it's logistically frustrating lol. Just search "Membership Plugin" on Wordpress and you'll find a ton that could be of use.

Now not sure what this guys volume is but if it's low and he just needs a nice looking site with payment portals then download the free version of elementor --> whip up a nice order form with descriptions of leads etc --> install free version of WPSimplePay and set up a stripe account for him, and he'll be selling leads and accepting payments in no time.

Not the most professional but looks really nice, works and is easier to manage logistically.

I also saw another post on another site where a user suggested using gravity forms to create a custom post type and then use a paywall/member plugin/content restriction to protect those custom post only from paying members. Not sure how you work out the one time buy though and give them a sample of the lead. Hopefully, someone, a lot more experienced than myself can pitch in and offer a suggestion.

I know it's not quite what you're after @helll0a but I'm wanting to design lead gen. site (home improvement) and I think I may have worked out a similar system.

I plan on using the WP Job Manager plugin and a few others to allow people to submit jobs (essentially a lead) and companies to have resumes (profile pages). The companies can search for jobs relevant to their location/profession and apply for a job (charge them for contact).

I know it's different to what you are looking for but it might give you some ideas.
 
You have a point, I think the Gravity Forms woocommerce add-on would come in handy for a one off buy, since it has a conditional pricing option?

I'm more interested in a rank and rent model though.

For rank and rent where you are just dealing with one client, you can just use a CRM or something like Ninja Form which you can set to email the client, they even have a neat integration which allows you to send SMS when a form is submitted. The only piece of the puzzle to solve is billing the client per lead.

You could set a monthly retainer for a minimum amount of leads or invoice them weekly for leads generated.

Nice!! I'm going to look into right now. It's one model I'm focused on, the other being per call(whivh is another kettle of tea).

Hi, you can use Ninja Form for WP. We use that plugin to capture leads and store them into their db that you can manage.

I'm starting to use WP Forms and send leads directly to clients and bill them manually. If you wan't to do distribution and billing then you'll need to use a lead distribution software, they're expensive though.

Okay, thanks for letting me know about your case. Unfortunately, I and not eager to implement any CRMs because I would like to build "capturing-selling-system" entirely on wordpress solutions. I think I'll try with gravity form (or maybe check ninja forms) & leaky paywall suggestion. I just stared building my MVP but I feel like I am lost a little bit. BTW how much are you paying for your current boberdoo set-up? Are you satisfied with their solution? I assume you are not able to charge your clients per forwarded lead, am I right ?

Right now I'm only using WP-Forms but moving today to Lead Pages and a CRM or maybe Zapier hooked up to Google Sheets which I should be able to do lead distribution from. Boberdoo is expensive (not using atm.). With a lead distribution software (such as Boberdoo) the software manages everything from distribution to billling.
 
Interesting is there any chance to send you a PM (I am new here just registered today) I don't want to turn this thread into private message board. I have some questions because I see you are quite well informed about this matter. Yes, zapier is also nice tool and relatively cheap. I was thinking about this as a last resort solution if I won't be able to move fwd. in 10 days. BTW are you making due dil. to your received leads and then forward them or just send them to your "client(s)" as they are?

I have a WP site --> Installed Stripe plugin --> I bill the customer per lead via the plugin.

The plugin allows you to input lead info before charging credit card.

Upon charging credit card, Stripe plugin sends email to customer with lead details and payment confirmation.

No CRM required. It is manual but you can automate it.

Okay, this might be an interesting solution if I can somehow automate "Stripe sends email to customer with lead details". I know I was saying I am not a big fan of outside CRMs, automation tools, etc... but I'll now try free zapier trial version accompanied with gravity forms, and later on check if I can automate your solution mentioned above. BTW how many leads are you sending out per week/month through this setup ?

The setup is reliable. The only time I notice problems is when plugins need an update or some core update in WP occurs.

Also, you can check the sales and lead data directly on Stripe's online platform which you will have access to once you create a Stripe account.
