Wordpress phpbb3 integration????

I am trying to integrate a phpbb3 board into a WP blog using automod
and WP-unite. I want it this way because I want the forum to sit inside
the blog template. I've used phpbb3 rather than a WP plugin because I
want to use Blackhatzens forum generator on it which could be a totally
different issue when it comes to it.
I've managed to get my head round automod install but WP-unite is absoloutly
doing my head in. It comes with no instructions, all the information I can find
online is so vague and there's hardly any support.
Has anyone on the board been through this process that should shed some
light on it for me. I'm pretty sure I'm going wrong with the xml editing somewhere along the line.

I've struggled with this myself. The best solution that I have found is to use a redirect plugin and try to match the blog's appearance with the forum theme. Creating "shared" accounts between the two platforms is a major pain in the butt because of WordPress' security settings. If you figure out a good solution for this, let me know. Forum Generator integration shouldn't be an issue after you have the forum setup.

tried that. dropped after a while - not worth the trouble. workaround - make a script to synch accounts two-way and trigger it every couple of hours.
