    Hello everybody.

I want to change my word press blogs's custom permalink. I have tried a lot. but did not get success. my last coding in permalink was this.

    /index.php/%catagory%/%postname%

but in this i got the permalink in latest new 2 entries only. And older entries had error. so how should i set permalink so that i will get it in my all posts.

In Wordpress Admin Panel, click 'Settings, select 'Permalinks', choose 'Custom Structure' and enter in blank field /%postname%

Click 'Save Settings' and thats it.

Sounds like a problem with your Wordpress install. You made a lot of custom changes?

If its a new blog and not many posts then i would just backup data, uninstall and reinstall Wordpress and try again and then add your old posts.

    Follow the instruction of bestmate.

You don't want to enter index.php in permalink field. Just enter,
    /%postname%

Also make sure that your .htaccess file is writable. If not manually update the .htaccess file with code provided by wordpresss after you "save settings".
