Wordpress Page Vs Post. Better SEO?

I was wondering about this.

Googling the question, got different answers, LOL.

This would be a static content website. So I was going to build with pages. But would posts get better SEO? I've read yes and read they are treated the same.

I was also planning to make a post once a week on related subjects, to keep some fresh content (even if it isn't the sites main focus). Figured that'd help.

Main concern for the main pages is pages or posts. Anyone actually know?

There is no exact thing in this. It's all about how you optimize that page and also take care about your permalinks and then you should be ok. There is no difference in post or page, only differences are made by you if you are optimizing the article good or not.

Thanks! That was what I was thinking. I'm sure the plugin for optimizing matters too, more so.

I would use both. Pages for your static content with one of the pages being your main site content and then use Posts to add new fresh content in a blog and add a 'Recent Posts' and Archive section so visitors can read new and old posts and looks user friendly and well organised for visitors and Google.
