Hey guys,

Excuse me if this was answered already, I couldn't find the thread or the solution on this on google.

I remember that a few days ago I came across a post on BHW where someone stated that he made all his wordpress blogs pages instead of a post. Because this would rank better and easier in google.

May I ask if this is true? Because I bought a theme where they show certain new 'posts' on the homepage. But if normal pages rank faster, I would make a lot of adjustments to it!

Thanks for answering!

The difference of post and page is only the url structure.
Nohing else, so I think they have same chance on goole.

Well, Wordpress does have internal "post" and "page" tag and Google can def see that. So I'm sure there's a slight difference, not none.

If you build a traditional website with a main menu and a few different pages, then rather than attaching a post to the menu, it would be best to use pages. And keep the posts for the blog section. Not sure whether it would rank higher but you maximize the odds to. Better use the feature for what it is intended to do.
