Hello,

I have one basic question. If I use wordpress to make my site, will it be indexed fast and highly ranked? Or, normal HTML site would do the same?

If I use wordpress and I use plugins for SEO (white hat as well as black hat plugins)... will google be able to read plugins as plugins directory is not locked and change the position if it finds black hat plugins?

Please help!

Always had better success with normal html sites, my recent journal is about normal html website :) it ranks very fast!

Totally depends on the worpress theme and the html site of course. Bad coded theme or html site won't help you much.

Wordpress is alot more dynamic. Hands-free Complaint.

For the plugins you could lock the bots from seeing them with robot.txt

Yep, totally depends. If you're a moron you'll do badly with either. If you know what you're doing then you'll likely do well with either.

For me WP has worked always!

1 thing I would suggest is you that go to Google, and search for your keyword, and see the platform the top 10 sites are ranking for. Try to replicate them (legally).!

Thank you all!

If I lock my plugins folder, won't Google sense something is cooking? because, by default, plugins folder is not locked...

I do not think Google would care about whether a folder is locked or otherwise.

As long as they are coded correctly you won't see a difference, really. That being said, it is probably difficult for the mass user base of WP that hasn't read tutorials to do this, as they blindly install plugin after plugin without configuring.
