I did not understand the Term "Powerful" you are using?
If you had asked question like "Which is a Better CMS? Wordpress or Blogger.", then it was more good question.
By the way, wordpress is powerful or not i dont know, but still its easy to manage content in Wordpress CMS rather then blogger.
I have used wordpress cms in many websites. Say like 30-40. So its on finger tips now.
Wordpress gives great options too to manage content wisely.
It had great and easy to do options like -
category management, page management, widget management, post management, user management, theme option management, permalinks management etc.

I thought people stopped using Blogger because they could easily lock you out of your account.

Wordpress is customizable, more user-friendly and secure than Blogger. But Blogger is much easy to use. I prefer Wordpress than Blogger.

depending on your require and your skills.the best way you use both of them and then you can choose the most thing that match your require.

The right way to use them...
1)Open a wordpress website and also create a blogger about same keywords/topics
2)Make the wordpress one main-site and the blogger one sub-site
3)Then create backlinks from blooger to wordpress site.
By the way, Seo indexing is faster on the blogger as it is a Google product. But wordpress is a more professional way to create a website and got many themes and plugins.

I always prefer Wordpress for my blogs. Its simple and I can add many functionalities as well.

When there is a compatision, you always find pros ans cons.
But from with two - as per my opinion wirdpress is more customised and useful.

I suggest wordpress since you can do like anything, customize things.

I used both, and I prefer Wordpress, it is much bether, becouse it is more customizable, with pluggins and widget, and also you can have with your on domains and free domain like mycompany.wordpress.com.
