WordPress optimization tips

test it yourself. I just tried a big money keyword in google images and zero of the top 20 results were coming from a cdn subdomain.

but then they just go to a subdomain in google images. wouldn't you rather them visit your article and convert?

I don´t see how this would be more beneficial then the better SEO I get from the speed with a CDN and with canonical headers configured on the website it´s a non existing problem really. It is more problematic to not use a CDN when it comes to SEO.

First of all, I am not your "bro", second If your running a normal website it is way to little traffic from the Google image search to even bother, it only applies if you have a really huge amounts of images and then you have a BIG site and we where talking of small sites "You don't need a CDN unless you're a huge website. " , at least you did just a moment ago. Make up your mind please.

I am not really agreeing with your first post, since you stated that a CDN is only for huge websites, and I am trying to tell you that it is not only for huge websites, so I do not know where you get that I am agreeing with you?? And my username is not "Roblox" it is RoiBox only.

Oh I didn't understand your last reply.

I get that there's a lot of money being put into CDN and "good for seo" lately but I've done side by side pagespeed insight tests that would say otherwise. If the images are already optimized and the server is fast it's the same for a WordPress page with 15/20 images.

Also for indexing, I've done it too where you set the rel canonical and robots to keep the images indexed but it just does not work as well in image search results. Look online what to others are saying if you don't believe me. I think CDN is only good for heavy user content websites, video streaming, ect. but if you can show me otherwise I'm open to hear that's what I meant when I said "bro".

First, A lot of money? Take a service like BunnyCDN, it costs $10 minimum per year and includes about 1TB of bandwidth, reduces work for your server by 70-90% load (so a smaller server needed equals money saved).

Second, the amount of traffic coming from Google image search on a smaller website is to low to even bother with.

Third, time is about 04.56 in the morning here in Sweden, so if you do not wan´t my advice from over 20 years in the website building business, it is ok to, everybody have their own opinion on everything. I am to tired to keep this discussion going and convince you of something that you probably have more experience than my 20 years in the website building business after I got connected to Internet for the first time back in 1995, but it is ok, hope you have a great day/evening/night/morning wherever you are in the world. See ya another day.

I meant a lot of money being put into the idea that you need one. Yeah 1TB? My VPS has got 10TB so I don't think we'll see much improvement with a CDN on the only WordPress site I have on it.

Also, the images do help a lot for ranking keywords. Especially when you get your images on a featured snippet.

And please don't blame me for responding to you in an open forum, I'm sorry ur tired if it's past your bed time you can go to sleep. :)

The cost for more TB is about $10 per TB, it was really the SEO value of an CDN that we discussed, that´s the real improvement of your website.

Say, what ... =)

I am trying to discuss the subject, but he continue to make no sence, so chill the fuck out yourself, where is your valued input on the subject, pictures??
.

Chill the f*** out.

To be fair, the article he linked to (even if it sounded SUPER ultra click-baity) was actually really helpful. I now know to only ever use nginx in any optimized environment. I did NOT realize just how big of a difference that could make, so hey. They seem to at *least* know where to find good info.

If anyone is hijacking the thread with arrogans and disrespect, your not the one to make that statement with your personal harassment on my writings, so keep up with your own respect of people before you tell others to respect the forum members.

I am trying to grasp the concept. I don't see why you would even want a subdomain in the first place on a small site. If image bots are scraping your URLs and it comes from http://cdn. yoursite. com/ well there goes link juice that could otherwise point at your main domain.

The heaviest users of CDN networks use them for non-indexed content. Show me a Google images search result with the image paths that say otherwise or else this is just SEO propaganda imho.

Do what you wan´t .. It´s ok to .. =)

Okay then I guess you don't want to discuss it lol goodnight.

I gave it a try .. But the discussion wen´t south and you will do what you wan´t in the end anyway, this way the thread don´t get any more personal harassment's by other members that does not add any value to the subject other then harass people. So goodnight .. =)
