Wordpress now blocks search engines as default setting...

Thanks for the headsup. I just checked two sites I built this week and they were both set on private! Installed both through QuickInstall on Hostgator, so worth keeping an eye out for.

I have one blog I built which is set to private which is a model who uses it as a portfolio, but only gives the url out to photographers.

I always use the Invinsible mode when creating a new site, when i have built it enough i relase it, i dont like getting hits when i am still trying to get everything right, maybe a bad desicion but thats how i do it

Yes, default wordpress setting block search engines to index. We have to allow it from Privacy Settings. I am familiar with it but it is useful for newbie.
