Wordpress multisite for Seo blog network? Good idea or not?

Hello,

Is it smart to make the seo blog network using wordpress multisite?
As I read, every site need to have its own ip - so it will, but it would be on same server, does it influence seo? Does google crawler detect it?

I read that everybody make the blogs from network on different servers also. Please consider my case and let me know your opinion and arguments.

How can they possibly have different IPs, if they are on the same server?

And yes, using something like this for PBN network will not only get you slapped, but the SEO effect will be significantly lowered, due to all backlinks coming from the same IP.

Works totally fine, while WPMU isn't explicitly made for this kind of configuration, it works fine if everything on your server is configured correctly. As long as it's the same server, fine. There even was a plugin for this, not sure if it's still working out of the box https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/
