Wordpress Migration Digital Ocean

    my wordpress files are 6,89 gb. I already have mirated mysql database.
    Now, i need somethig like 12 days to transfer those files through ftp to my new server (digital ocean) how is this possible?

    My connection is good, that's not a problem. am I MISSING something? I need help please :)

    What?Where?Who?
    Ask DigitalOcean to perform the migration for you... Really any hosting provider would do that.

    I should move all these files in a reasonable amount of time, how?

    Do it server to server, using ssh. U cant do it through ftp. Simple.

    There must be server to server transfer, ftp is very slow. Also make sure everything is compressed

    If you have shell access to both servers you can transfer via rsync or similar very easily. Should be much quicker than 6 days - couple of hours going from two hosts.

    Few days ago i transfered 3 Gb (120k files) site with FileZilla and it took 2 hours.

    Even scp can do the job if he knows what he is doing :)

    Filezilla/any other ftp programs suck when you have gbs of small files to transfer. Do some research. It's not as easy as it seems.

    I've 1gbps home speed so.... I didn't know that was an issue.
