Wordpress meta date - To keep or not to keep

I was wondering if it is a good idea to keep the WP meta date to display in the search results from Google or to completely remove it from my site.

Has anyone experimented this option (keeping date/removing date) option from being displayed on the search results?

It's rather trivial...

Meta Data really isn't used that much if at all anymore.
