Hello All,

So I have a question.
I have a 1000 images in my uploads folder via ftp. So wp-content/uploads/2013/03/
I have downloaded them all. Used JPEGmini. com to optimize all the images downloaded them. Then reuploaded them all via ftp again.

But when I go to one of the images via the media library or to the direct link. For example domain.com/theme/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/01.jpg

It gives me the old image with the big file size eg 700kb
Instead of the new file size eg 120kb

Does anybody know how to updated the media library and the website to use the new image size?

Thank You,

Delete the images on that folder and re-upload the optimized images thru media library. Make sure that the filename wasn't changed, and check your images after.

I have deleted some images and reuploaded them. Nothing happen it put them back in the same folder. With no file size change? Any other suggestions.

Weird I looked and some of the images have changed and some havent when I first uploaded them.
